Bus Trip to The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Join us on a trip to view the groundbreaking exhibition "El Greco to Velazquez: Art During the Reign of Philip III" which examines the period 1598-1621 with masterpieces by these two giants of Spanish painting and their contemporaries. The trip is scheduled for Tues., May 20. The bus will leave the main library at 8:30 and will return about 6:30. Cost is $55 which includes the bus and admission to the museum. Guided tours are an additional $10 and audio guides are $5. Lunch is on your own in the Museum's full-service cafeteria. We will hold your reservation upon receipt of your check made out to the Farmington Library.

Billie Alban Lecture

On Wed. March 19th, Author Billie Alban visited the Farmington Library to discuss large group methods, consulting and organization development. Her recent book The Handbook of Large Group Methods, published by Jossey Bass, has been used in business consulting practices by major organizations such as Pfizer, American Airlines, British Airways, Kraft General Foods, NASA, etc.

Historical Hartford Courant & Historical New York Times
Search historical editions of these newspapers. Read articles from as far back as 1764 and use them for genealogy research!


New England Ancestors.org
Search this database for information about New England families and communities.
