Food and the art of cooking have become wildly popular over the past few years. The library’s collection of cookbooks is growing to meet the demands of the kitchen novice to the expert chef. Two new books in the collection are David Rocco’s Made in Italy and Good Bite Weeknight Meals: Delicious Made Easy.
Good Bite Weeknight Meals is based on the
food blogging website goodbite.com. It is a collection of 140 recipes
that are quick and easy and that use ingredients that most people have in the house. The recipes are simple to follow and require
little more than 30 minutes- perfect for weeknight cooking. The book is
organized into eight chapters covering poultry, meat, seafood, pasta, vegetarian,
soups, and side dishes.
Made in Italy is filled cover to cover
with sexy pictures of food and
Italy- perhaps you will recognize him from the show DolceVita. While this cookbook sits on the edge of being a photo easy of his travels and of the delicious food in
Italy, it does let the reader almost taste and smell the flavors on each page. The
ingredients are recognizable and recipes appear to be forgiving enough to let a
weekend chef create culinary masterpieces.
