Spring Gardening Series

635.9 HUT
From the raking to mulching to pruning, can gardening be easy or low maintenance?

According to Lorraine Ballato, a celebrated gardener, life is too short to spend it weeding and worrying about the garden.  She will discuss her tips and techniques to “garden smarter” during her talk at the Farmington Library on Saturday, March 10th at 10am as part of the Farmington Library's Spring Gardening Lecture Series.

After the talk, wander up to the second floor of the library and take a look at some the books on gardening- ranging from the history of gardens to gardening made simple to gardening design.  Future talks in the gardening series will look at design strategies (March 24th) and perennials (March 31st).

The library is curious, do you have any tips or suggestions to help garden smarter?  Let us know--please add your tips to the comment section!
