The New York Times has published their top 10 list. Frankly, I haven't read any of them, and only one (The Nine) is on my must-read list. The 100 Notable Books list is more up my speed. I recommend The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Harry Potter (last one!), and the Yiddish Policeman's Union.
